005 | John Lee Dumas Explains Why Asking for Forgiveness is Better than Asking for Permission

Welcome to today’s episode! I’m happy to have John Lee Dumas, the creator of the inspiring podcast, Entrepreneur On Fire. In today’s episode John shares with us how he’s followed the same philosophy for his entire life, “ask for forgiveness, rather than asking for permission,” and how that has helped shape his life.

John has gone through life hearing A LOT of NO’s. It started even before his professional career began, but he quickly learned that for every 10 NO’s he received he’d receive 1 YES. So, he turned it into a game, and quickly became one of the top salesmen at his job at John Hancock.

We all go through life hearing NO’s. It might be something we hear from our boss on a regular basis, or it may be something we experience in our business. The NO’s may not be a joy to hear, but they are learning experiences. It’s important to know that you have the power to turn those NO’s into YES’s. The key is you need to be willing to learn more about the process.

Have you ever considered that making that one last phone call, reaching out to one last person, or connecting with one more influencer, could be your next step to a YES? John has you covered in this episode!

Enjoy and Thank you for listening to Success Unfiltered!
